Africa
Uganda, which is located in East Africa, has one of the continent's fastest-growing economies and home to the friendliest population. Almost 55% of Ugnada's population is below the age of 16 makng it one of the world's youngest countries.
However, Uganda is still recovering from conflicts and High HIV/ AIDS prevalence which left most of its citizens drenched in poverty and orphaned many of the children. The illiteracy rate spiked in this time and now stands at 40% and the way of living is not one any human being should go through. Right now, more young are getting educated and beating the vicious cycle of poverty.
Since 1998, TMI has been helping Ugandan children and has educated over 600 children . Today, make a difference by sponsoring a child in Uganda for $38 per month.
HOW SPONSORSHIP WORKS
SELECT A CHILD
WRITE TO EACH OTHER
STAY UPDATED
Every child has a unique story. Find out about them first, and select the one you feel most connected too. Each child has had their situation analyzed by the TMI team and the conclusion is that they all equally need the help. The decision for who you want to help is upto you.
At TMI, the kids know it as Mail Time. It's our way of keeping in touch and feeling connected even when we are so far apart. Your child will write to you every year and tell you about their life, culture, favorite hobbies, happy and sad moments and seal in an envelope and include pictures too.
Each year, we carry out home visits to keep you updated on all vital details about the child such as liing condition, spiritual life, behaviorial changes and family details so you can be apart of their growth, celebrate the highest moments and help them through the low moments.
